"I invited just a handful of people only a few days ago and I already have 48 members on 5 levels below me. I am going to keep promoting this, but I see it has a life of it's own now. I couldn't stop my network from expanding if I wanted to!"

Advertising on Pay-Per-Click Search Engines

Pay-Per-Click search engines are search engines which allow you to pay to get your link listed.

Even Google nowadays has a pay-per-click program, called "Google Adwords."

It's called "pay-per-click" because you will be bidding on search positions, and offering a certain amount of cents (say, 10 cents) for each person who actually clicks on your search result.

So, this means that you don't even have to pay if nobody clicks your link.

This can be a great way to get started marketing something like DesktopLightning.com.

We recommend checking out the following pay-per-click search engines. If this is the strategy you want to pursue, you should consider using as many of them as possible, if not all of them.

Joint Ventures

A joint venture, in the sense that we are talking about here, involves you doing something for someone else, and in return, them doing something for you.

A common type of joint venture between experienced marketers involves each of them mailing out about each other's products.

If you have some resources to trade, such as your own list, programming, web design skills, etc. -- we strongly recommend contacting other marketers, and doing joint ventures with them -- have them sign up under you for DesktopLightning.com, and then mail out their own link. In return, you do something for them.

The beauty of this is, they'll be mailing out about their own link, but the subscribers will go into your own network all the same.

Even if you don't have any resources to trade, it is still highly probable if you contact many website owners and list owners that you'll be able to get some to sign up under you and then promote their own link.

The best advice we can give when it comes to finding joint ventures is not to give up -- sometimes you might have to talk to a lot of people before one agrees. But, all you need is that one, and you're on your way.

The only thing you cannot do is send out spam to multiple potential partners asking them to partner with you all at once -- this will get you in trouble.

Personal contact is the key.

So, where do you start looking for people to joint-venture with?

We strongly recommend two sources:
  1. We have gathered a list of quite a few ezine directories, which contain thousands upon thousands of online newsletter publishers. Begin contacting their owners and building business partnerships with them, and get them to sign up for DesktopLightning.com under you as a friend.
  2. Another great place to find potential partners, we've found, is the ClickBank Marketplace -- if you haven't checked it out yet, we strongly recommend it.

Advertising in Ezines

Even if you don't have your own list, you can still use DesktopLightning.com to build a massive viral marketing force under you.

Remember, once you get some people in under you, your network will start growing by itself. After that, you'll never have to face the problem of not having your own list anymore.

There are literally thousands of "ezine", or electronic newsletter publishers out there on the Internet who will allow you to pay them to send out a mailing to their list.

Usually these mailings will break down into two categories, "solo ads" and "sponsor ads."

A solo ad is usually more expensive, but we strongly recommend it. Essentially a solo ad means that your message will be the entire email they send out.

A sponsor ad is typically a small few-line ad that you get to insert in another mailing. Although these can work, you really want to be the only focus of the email. This can make the world of a difference.

Below you can find a list of "ezine directories" which we found on the Internet. We are not affiliated with these sites in any way, and are not responsible for their content. However, we do believe that they are a good resource for finding ezines to advertise in.

Once you've selected your ezine, we recommend that you use the same ads from our email ads section to send to these lists.
